non-safari browsers no internet on non-admin

Chrome/Firefox/Safari/Opera all work on my admin account.

I setup a non-admin account, and when using that account only Safari can access the internet.

Fast-switching back to the admin account, all browsers still work.

I haven't set anything else up such as parental controls. This is a brand new user account.

What do I need to enable to let non-Safari browsers access the internet?

I don't understand what changed (I didn't make the second account admin or anything like that.)

But now it works.

I have done a system update since then, so maybe Apple patched something in the back-end.

Seems odd— never heard of such a thing.

I would use what works...
