I have latest Macbook Air Ventura and my desktop and documents folder will NOT stay checked in icloud. What can I do?

The desktop & document folder will NOT stay enabled when I click on it in iCloud. Strangely enough documents are showing on my old Macbook air desktop but not on my new one. What else can I try?

Yes, tried that along with a number of other things… have since resolved. Turns out the desktop & document folders were defaulting to dropbox. There were 2 settings for dropbox… one on my old mac (mac) and one on my new mac (mac2). My new mac only had ‘mac2’ checked on so i also checked ‘mac’ on my new mac & then the folders came across on my desktop.
