Hello N plus 9!

There is a feature called “Tap to Wake.” This feature can be turned off in Settings > Accessibility > Touch, and then the screen will no longer activate when tapped, either accidentally or purposely.

I hope this is helpful. Good Luck!

Which device do you have, and which iOS it it running?

“Tap to Wake” is not under “Accessibility”. It’s under “Touch,” which is found in “Accessibility.”

So go to: Settings. Now, look for “Accessibility,” and tap on it. Now, in the second group of settings from the top down, see “Touch.” Tap on it. Now, near the middle, see “Tap to Wake.” Turn the switch off.

Also, follow KiltedTim’s instructions on how to turn off Raise to Wake.
