Hello WeeMay,

There are a few different reasons that phone calls may drop. The main ones can include things like network coverage issues from the carrier, for example if your car is in a tunnel or you're in an elevator or underground parking lot then the coverage may be weaker.

It may also be network performance issues where a cellular network area is over its capacity.

Another main reason can be the environment the call is made in, for example in mountains/forests or even areas that seem less obvious but surrounding obstacles can cause an issue.

Be sure to check for any available iOS and carrier settings updates to ensure they have the latest fixes and improvements applied:

Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Manually update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

1. Make sure that your device is connected to Wi-Fi or a cellular network.
2. Tap Settings > General > About.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to install your carrier update.

It can also be beneficial to reach out to your mobile carrier to see if they can help note specific reasons it may be dropping, such as an outage or coverage issue for example.

Cheers.
