Omit signature on reply

The iOS and macOS Mail client always includes the signature when replying to a message. As a point of reference, Microsoft Outlook for macOS has an option to omit signatures on replies.

Some corporate signatures can be rather long, leading to bloat in email threads.

Can we please have this option for the iOS and macOS Mail client?

Thank you!

Jason

Jason,

These are user-supported communities without Apple product team participation. You can send direct feedback to the Mail product team though. They likely will not reply to you, but they may do so to gather more input.

And then, there are those corporate souls that use Reply All… 🤨

Hello JasonMcCloy,

iOS:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll down and tap on Mail
  3. Scroll down and tap on Signature

Change it to whatever you desire.

macOS

  1. Open Mail
  2. Open Mail's Settings (Command + ,)
  3. Click Signatures

Click the plus icon to add new ones, tap the minus icon to remove them.

  1. Create an email signature in Mail on iCloud.com - Apple Support
  2. Create and use email signatures in Mail on Mac - Apple Support
