how can I get rid of "hide my email"? It prevents me from forwarding material

For some time, my Mac has not been able to forward material due to the "Hide My Email" that pops us in the "From" section Each time, I change it to my email address, but it's just stuck and keeps sending it back to me. Then I have trouble exiting. How can I permanently get rid of the "hide my email"?
