Unfortunately, you were led astray for using rice to remove moisture from your iPhone. As Rudegar has already mentioned, most likely, there is a rice kernel now stuck deep inside your phone's lightning port.

Your only option now would be to take it to your local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider to have them take a look and provide you with your option. Do note, that the Apple warranty does not cover liquid damage.

if it was me then I would suspect a rice grain had gotten stuck inside the connector of the phone and one would have to manually get it out with a toothpick or match before the connector would fit once again
