iPhone won’t accept charger cord after getting wet
Daughter went sledding tonight. Phone got wet. She put in rice. Now phone won’t accept charger cord. Don’t see anything in charging port.

It is very difficult to see rice in the lightning port. My guess is there is something still in the port. Also, normally once a device gets wet, rice doesn't really work, and you should have it examined by Apple or an Authorized service provider to examine the device. More than likely it will need to be replaced.

Apple specifically recommends NOT using rice to try to dry a wet iPhone. It's an old wives tail and can cause more harm as rice dust get into areas, like the charging port. The reality is once a phone gets wet, Apple won't likely try to fix it. By all means schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar, but be prepared to buy a replacement phone.
