Messages app on new Mac Studio not showing contact names, just phone numbers

Turning contacts on/off did not seem to work. However upon further investigation I discovered when I was in the contacts app itself that the missing names in question actually weren't showing up there either as I assumed they were (since half my contacts were).

So I checked my iPhone to see why it was different and eventually discovered many of these names were via Google contacts (had no idea). I enabled the google account inside the Contacts app and had to refresh the sync in the system settings tab (also turning google sync off and back on) and suddenly it worked! Sharing this information in case anyone else comes across this issue, it could be helpful.

Actually the new system has been enabled for about a week now, it was just bothering me enough by this point to say something. I just tried turning it on/off again as suggested and will give it another 24 hours and let you know if it's still giving me a problem. Thank you!
