Verification required and CVV check failed error

While setting up a child account on my old IPad Air 2 IOS11, I can’t progress beyond verification required after clicking on Agree to the terms. It gives me the error message CV check failed. I am a user from India and Credit card set ups are not available as an option. So what’s this CV.V error code and how do I set up my child’s account?

Error when trying to create child iOS account I gave an error when trying to create a child account. I have tried on both wifi and cellular and it doesn’t change. First it asks me to verify my PayPal which then says an error occurred. If I try a different payment method I get the same error. I have tried this both on my iPad and my iPhone to no avail - I have seen a few posts here and it’s always marked as resolved when it isn’t… I have followed the apple guide for this: Create an Apple ID for your child – Apple Support (UK) I do not get to step 5! It will not allow me to verify I am a parental figure as I cannot get past this stupid payment part. my iPad is on iOS15 and my iPhone iOS16 - please can someone help?!

Creating child account When trying to create a child’s account, I click ‘Verify You’re an Adult’ and it takes me to the Parental Consent screen where it asks me to enter the verification code that was texted to me in order to use PayPal. After entering the code, I either get an error saying ‘There was an error, please try later’ or it says ‘Credit card processing is temporarily unavailable…’ I’ve been trying for a few days and I keep getting the same errors. I’ve tried creating the account on the old iPhone that my son will be using and also from my current iPhone by going under settings then family. I’ve tried over Wi-Fi and I’ve also turned the Wi-Fi off and tried over data. Any suggestions?

Unable to create child account Creating child account keeps failing at payment method verification step. Tried with Wi-Fi off and on and different cards. Same result. tried via parent phone and child phone, same result: Error occurred, please try again later. Any ideas?

The CVV code is the three digit number printed on the back of a Credit Card.

When setting-up an online payment, or registering a Card for future payments, the CVV code is required to verify validity of the Credit Card number and associated validity dates.
