Cant connect to Itunes or Appstore.

My macbook pro mid 2012 working on Mac os x,10.8 is unable to connect to the app store or itunes,asks me to check my internet connection.

My internet(wifi/ethernet) is working fine,and can use the browser too on the same device.Please someone give me a solution,so that i can upgrade to new os.

Can anyone also tell my why this is happening.

That is too old an Operating system!

Keep in mind that Mac OS X 10.8 is quite outdated, and Apple may no longer provide official support or updates for it. Consider upgrading to a newer version of macOS if possible, as it will provide you with improved security and compatibility with the latest applications and services.

You can also download OS online Download macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 (UK) and can make a bootable USB drive. Then can reinstall and upgrade to a new operating system. Make sure you back up your data first.

How to make bootable USB drive from terminal:
 sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume


Create a bootable installer for macOS – Apple Support (AU)


Note: High Sierra will support to 2012 Model MacBook pro.
