how do i attach the airtag to my iphone?

There are a number of options you can choose from ... either through the Apple Store or other resellers. However, you would not necessarily want to attach it directly to your phone as that would defeat its purpose. As you would need to use your iPhone to track its location ... or depend on other people's phones to do so.

Your iPhone is defined as a "device" by Apple; the AirTag, on the other hand, is an "item." Both support Find My, so again, having both together would not be very helpful. IMHO.

The AirTags are primarily designed to find a lost item ... not to track people or pets. Again, your iPhone already has built-in tracking via the Find My app should it get lost or stolen. Attaching an AirTag on it would serve no useful purpose.

Does that make sense now? For example, I use them with my vehicle keys. Should I misplace them, they are easily found with these tags. People also use them with their luggage, with some success, to know where they are during traveling.

When I lose my phone I ask her to ping the Airtag

Soon she will attach an Airtag to my body and track me. LMAO :)

You must be a troll... you don't need to add an airtag to your phone. Find My is built into the phone already. Also, you don't need to put an AirTag on your iPad, as it's built into that. Going even further, you don't need to add it to an Apple Watch, because... wait for it, it's built in. SMH

Once in a while your phone battery is dead and you can't ping your device. The tag is then the only way to find it hidden between the car seat and the center console because it slipped out of your pocket.

Have not heard of an ipad? My Findmy works on both so if I lose my phone with an Itag i can find it with my ipad and vice versa. So what are the options for iphone covers that hold tags?

Not True!!!! My daughter lost her iPhone. Find my iPhone did not work. Calling apple did not work. Called T-Mobile did not work. What would have worked is the **** AirTag! So there you go

I would agree with you, but then we’d both be wrong. But go ahead, attach a tag to a phone. You ever wonder why there are very few, if any, air tag iPhone cases? Maybe you should call t-mobile and let them know. (Ps, they don’t exist)
