How to enable Tracking on Apple ID despite age?

Please verify your Apple ID's birthdate is updated - Update the birth date associated with your Apple ID - Apple Support.

If you can't turn on the "Allow Apps to Request to Track" setting

In some circumstances, the "Allow Apps to Request to Track" setting can't be turned on, including: 

• For users with child accounts or who are under age 18 by birth year, signed in with their Apple ID*
• If your Apple ID is managed by an educational or business institution
• If your device is managed and uses a configuration profile that limits tracking
• If your Apple ID was created in the last 3 days

Do you fall into any of the other categories?

I wouldn't recommend having tracking on either though. This is an invasion of your privacy and apps will be able to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites for the purposes of advertising or sharing with data brokers. 

AFTER READING THE SAME DILEMMA FROM MOST OF YOU THAT I TOO WAS EXPERIENCING I EMAILED FETCH. HERE ARE THE STEPS TO TAKE TO GET BACK TO PLAYING FOR POINTS

1. GO TO SETTINGS. TAP YOUR APPLE ID AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN
2. SELECT " MEDIA AND PURCHASES". AND SIGN OUT
3. OPEN FETCH PLAY IN THE APP. THIS SOLVED MY PROBLEM I HOPE THIS HELPS ALL OF YOU

Same! Turned off and on phone. Installed current update and nothing. Signed out of media and purchases and problem solved!

It is an Apple server side error; it will be corrected if it hasn’t already. If it is still blocked as of tomorrow go to Settings/[your name]/Media and Purchases and sign out, restart your iPhone, and sign back in.

Thank you so much. Signing out of Media and Purchases allowed me to turn the tracking on my iPhone.

Instead of signing out Apple id, I followed the other post to sign out media and purchases (click your profile pic then it’s there). Whenever you need to install/update, just sign in back. Until Apple fixes this thing, temporarily you can let apps track.

there was no solution provided, Apple fixed the issue themselves, this morning when I turned on the IPAD it just worked, no solutions applied. I would suggest doing what I did. update to the latest ios version. Turn off the device over night and Apple will most likely fix this overnight again, and next morning it should work.

I think you’re on to something regarding playing the phone games, this issue started for my phone 13 AFTER I installed a casino slots game that required me to use iPhone “connect” to verify I am, indeed, over 18 years old. So I can now play that game but then it seems the tracking feature got disabled, no ability to change it on the phone general settings or individually for any apps.

It happened to mine too! Spent 20 minutes on the phone with apple support and we got it to come back on but then of course a minute after we hung up it shut off again. Hope they get it figured out soon

Add me to the list too. My apple ID is very old, I am definitely over the age of 18 and my birthday is in my profile correctly, my profile is not managed by my company, but I cannot enable tracking. it was working a few days ago but boom now it is broken. Apple fix your broken IOS update.

I am having this same issue. It worked last night and today i can not turn it on. I need it for surveys that I do. I checked my personal info with apple and my birthdate is in there and CORRECT. This is a personal phone and not managed by anyone else. But oddly i did find that if i signed out of my id on my phone I was able to turn on tacking. But once i signed back in i was not able to. PLEASE FIX THIS

I’m not able to turn tracking on or off. My birthday is correct. I updated my iPhone took my phone to Apple & they couldn’t figure it out either today. I shut it down & even reset everything still no good! So what else is there to do to fix the problem
