Fraudulent charges on my card in the Apple Wallet

I have a lot of small fraudulent charges going back years on my credit card in Apple Wallet. The last time I reported the card as compromised, Apple Wallet merely updated to the new card and the charges kept coming. All of the fraud was from Apple.com.

I just spoke with a representative who removed the card from my wallet. Is there anything else I can do? This is very concerning, as Apple Wallet should be an additional security measure and not simply another conduit for compromise.

The only way to gain access to your wallet is if someone else uses your iPhone.

Did you try looking at your transactions at:

Subscriptions and Billing - Official Apple Support

How to see what you were charged for

  1. To see your purchase history, go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. A list of purchases appears. To see family members' purchases, select the Apple ID button and choose a family member.
  4. To see the full receipt including tax, tap or click the date. Multiple purchases, including subscriptions, might be grouped onto one charge.

If the charge is for a subscription that you no longer want, you can cancel the subscription.

Apple Wallet is secure. The small fraudulent charges you’re seeing, are they declined automatically or are you having to dispute the charges each time?

If you’re seeing a decline (in red) and you’re doing nothing to dispute the charges, that is how the system works. It’s showing you how the security is working and catching the attempted fraudulent charges without you having to do anything.

Other credit cards just don’t show you all the fraudulent attempts on your account using your credit card.

I didn’t notice them because they were small amounts billed to apple.com and mixed in with valid charges from apple.com. To verify that they were fraudulent I actually had to go through all of my charges in iTunes and crosscheck them against the charges on my credit card. To me, and apparently to the credit card company, they both look like valid charges from apple.com. This has been going on for over a year. Thanks so much for your help.

Yes, I saw that article. Thank you very much. They do not appear anywhere in my Apple billing statements on the on the credit card bill itself. When I check for the vendor within the credit card company, it says no information available. The credit card company said that somebody must have had access to my Apple wallet. But I am at secure as I can possibly be with my phone. I have friends in IT who have helped me maximize all the security features. Two step authentication is on for everything etc. etc. etc..

Hi Jeff,

No one had access to my phone or PC. My bank contacted me for two amounts that appeared suspicious. Long story short the bank will not reimburse the cost to me since they say it occurred from the card in my Apple Wallet. Ive tried to remove the card but Im unable to do so.

Do you have any ideas how this happened and more importantly how to prevent it.

Thank you
