How do you add a second sim/IEME to your phone- I am going overseas for N extended time and would like to use an overseas sim in conjunction with my existing # in the USA. Is that possible?

This frees-up your nanoSIM slot to more easily add “overseas” nanoSIMs while traveling; and still retain your active “home” number.

You can add up to 8 eSIMs on iPhone 13 and above models but only two can remain active at any given time.


With eSIM, you don't need to obtain, carry, and swap physical SIM cards (which can also be lost), or wait for them to arrive by mail. On your iPhone, you can store eight or more eSIMs, which will be there whenever you need them.1
