Notifications for settings

All of a sudden I am getting notifications on my iPhone Lock Screen for the Settings app. Literally, on the Lock Screen, it says “Settings.” I go to Settings and there’s an alert about some new kind of security update that is going to be installed tonight. Fine! Do it! Why do I need to see an alert every time I turn my phone on? How am I to know whether it’s the same thing each time or not? This is really irksome. Anybody know how to turn it off? I don’t find any notification settings for Settings. This world is clearly starting to rotate in the wrong direction. Things that used to work just don’t work any more.
