Notifications interrupting podcasts

My iPhone 13 mini used to interrupt a podcast for my selected notifications. I needed to do a total reset and now it’s different, a podcast will continue to play, causing me to miss calls and texts. I can’t find the setting to change this back to the way it was.

When I'm listening to podcasts, my iPhone 12 doesn't play a sound to notify me of messages arriving. It does vibrate, but I don't always feel that if it's eg in a bag or pocket. music stopping when I receive any notification When listening to music or podcast, it stops when ever there is a phone notification (be it new message or Wellness etc). I have to manually go to the phone to press the 'play' button again to resume podcast or music. This is disruptive especially if I am driving and annoying when I am trying to listen to a podcast/music This only started happening right after I upgraded to iOS 17.0.1 is this a new feature? how to turn this off? I still want the notification, but do not want to have to press the play button to resume the music Thanks

Audible notifications for text messaging randomly stopping On my iPhone 13, pro my audible text message alerts randomly stop. I go into the settings to double check the sound, it’s on, if I adjust the volume then I’ll get text messages notifications for maybe a day or two before it stops again. My mom is having the exact same problem with her iPhone 12. Any hints tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated! My phone is updated to the newest iOS available.
