Why does my iPhone vibrate and play app notification sounds right in my ear while I’m talking on the phone? It’s very distracting and makes it hard to have a conversation!

Unfortunately, there is no concrete solution, other than Silent Mode, or activating Do Not Disturb if you have a call where you do not want to be disturbed. I tried to check if it was possible to set up an automation that would automatically activate Do Not Disturb during a call, and deactivate it when the call was over, but this is unfortunately not possible.
Alternatively, but probably not as interesting. If there are one or more apps that particularly disturb you when you have phone calls, you can customize the notifications so that the specific apps have no sound.
Go to:
Settings > Notifications > select an app > disable Sounds

Did you already put it on silent mode on the pull down menu?
Why should I put my phone on silent? I want to receive calls and messages. I do not want to receive messages only during a call.
Am I correct in understanding that the iPhone doesn't have a solution for this basic problem? So, are all iPhone users happy with their phone vibrating during a call?
Perhaps I'm in the wrong place for help? Could you please advise me where I can get support? Or is my problem unsolvable?
