MacBook Air 13” Stuck in Boot Loop

Hello,

I have a MacBook Air 13” that is stuck in a boot loop. When I try to turn it on, the screen will light up for a second or two (sometimes with the Apple logo and sometimes without) and make the startup noise, but then shuts off and starts over. I have tried to start it while holding Command + R and the Apple logo will stay on for a few seconds longer but still shuts off and the process continues. Any suggestions?

If your Mac is using Boot Camp then it is an Intel Mac.

Step 1 under If you're using an Intel-based Mac states in part "If you can't start up from Recovery in this way, review the guidelines for using startup-key combinations."

Its last bullet point is applicable:

  • If you're using Boot Camp to start up from Microsoft Windows, set Startup Disk preferences to start up from macOS instead. Then shut down or restart and try again.

If none of these options work then the last and final step in If your Mac starts up to an Apple logo or progress bar - Apple Support states "If you need help, contact Apple Support."

I am not starting up in bootcamp, I am attempting to start up in macOS. I did some digging through the links that you provided me with, and I attempted starting up with Command + Option + R. Unfortunately it just keeps repeating the same process where I see the spinning globe, I connect to my network, I wait for 10-15 minutes, and then the screen just goes blank. I then see the Apple logo for a second, then I’m back to the spinning globe. Also sometimes I will get error -1008F.
