App limits reached at the start of the day

I have set up time limits for my apps on my kid's iPad. She often reaches her limits by the end of the day. However, on a new day the apps are (still?) locked. They say the app limits are reached. The timings don't seem to 'reset'. How can I resolve this?

Thank you kindly for your reply, and added info., iIFrodo.

Perhaps another setting could be over-riding the screen time settings ? Eg:

Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

Manage App Store purchases, subscriptions, settings, and restrictions on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: Says: After you turn on content and privacy restrictions, do the following.

Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions >

Content Restrictions.

Set up Screen Time for a family member on iPad - Apple Support

Thank you for sharing this article. I have used this to set up the app limits. However, it's the 'App Limits refresh every day at midnight', that is mentioned in the article doesn't happen correctly. In de morning the app limit counters haven't been reset, apps are greyed out, and we get the prompt that app limits have been reached. The App Usage dashboard does however displays the correct consumed app times since midnight.
