12.75” ipad pro magic keyboard

Hello peoples…

We have an ipad pro (the big one) and the ‘magic’ keyboard. Its been working fine, but just this morning the keyboard has decided not to cooperate. It won’t charge the ipad or recognise any keystrokes. Have done all the usual… off/on, reboot, check usb leads, tried a different charge plug etc, all to no avail. The only thing i have noticed is that a few of the keys aren’t as ‘clicky’ as the rest (maybe half a dozen or so?) And typically its just out of warranty too.

Any help would be appreciated….

You would be best advised to visit your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad and keyboard:

Remove the iPad from the Smart/Magic Keyboard - and carefully/gently clean the smart connector contacts on both the iPad and keyboard with a soft pencil eraser (a drafting-film eraser is ideal). Ensure that the contacts on both iPad and keyboard are dirt and dust free - and all debris from the eraser have been removed - before reconnecting the two.
