Unable to add Apple Wallet Pass at this time

I also got the "Sorry, pass cannot be added at this time" message when I tried to add a ticket. None of the fixes described earlier in this thread (remove expired passes, sign out of Apple ID and reboot) worked. In the end, the problem seemed to be that I was working from my Outlook mobile app, which in turn opened the link to the ticket in the Edge browser. When I worked from the email in the Apple mail app, everything worked fine.

I was having the same problem and I tried everything, rebooting, removing expired tickets, changing wifi, none of them worked. Then I realized on my concert ticket it said it will only be acquired to devices associated with my email , the one that was connected to my ticket master account, so I went to settings>wallet Apple Pay> scrolled down to transaction defaults> email > Updated it with the same one I used on my account, then it worked.

I had the same error when I tried to add my Man Utd tickets to my wallet from my iphone. My way around it was on the 'add to smartphone' button in the confirmation email, if you hold it down, it opens up the preview (where you get the open, copy, share, save to photos...etc) options, I clicked add via that preview and it added it to my wallet.

My iPhone 15 was preventing me from saving airline boarding passes in Australia. 2 different airlines same problem. The deletion of the single expired pass I had and it is now working again.

I had this particular issue for a couple months. It happened with both Ticketmaster and Seatgeek so it's for sure an Apple thing. It's a pain in the butt but you have to sign out and back into the Apple ID on your phone. Heads up that you'll have to shoot through two step authentications and know passwords on various devices when attempting to sign back into your Apple ID.

GUYS IVE FIGURED OUT THE FIX - IN YOUR WALLET GO TO THE SECTION WHERE ALL THE EXPIRED PASSES ARE THERE AND DELETE ALL THE OLD TICKETS AND PASSES THAT ARE THERE AND THATS IT AFTER THAT IT WORKED !!!!!

The problem was due to the Norton VPN. I disabled the VPN and Southwest boarding passes loaded to the wallet as expected. Thank you.

I was having this issue with Ticketmaster and it was confusing and frustrating me because I have saved tickets in my wallet before. I attempted EVERYTHING, when I finally decide to add them on my daughter’s phone is when doing I realized she didn’t have Face ID enabled and it was allowing me to save them on her phone. So I removed Face ID from my phone as a final attemp and sure enough I was able to save the tickets. So I’m assuming it’s Face ID

We were having the same issue, my husband used Edge as his browser when opening a link with a pass attached to it and he received the message “unable to add pass” he switched over to Safari as his browser and it finally worked

Is your iOS updated? Have you tried a forced restart?

Was it a forced restart or did you just turn it off and back on?

Is you region, date, time set correctly?

Are you behind a VPN?

Sign out of your Apple ID account, restart your device and then sign back into your account.

Thank you for contribution. That will certainly help some community members. However, some of the issues being reported here have other underlying issues. AMC theaters has acknowledged as of late July 2023 that the issue is on their end.

You have to go to this section in settings wallet and Apple Pay and then click the hide expired passes button to view them otherwise they aren’t visible and then delete them all one by one

That’s probably the issue. The email needs to be directly sent to your Apple iCloud email address.
