One of my Airpods is not working

One of my airpods is completely unresponsive, (not only sound, the censors you double tap to change tracks also do not work) yet when I check the battery level from my phone, it shows that it's charged to 100% while inside the case. When I take it out of the case, the battery level of the unresponsive one is not visible while the working one's is. The indicator light on the case also blinks when I put it back into the case which shows that it actually detects it. I'm really confused as to why this might be happening and tried every solution from disconnecting and reconnecting the case to my phone to resetting network settings. Nothing seems to work.
