MacBook Pro screen is almost black

when I turn my MacBook on the screen is almost black; I can see a millimeter top and bottom workin fine. When I scroll with my mouse it works fine.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.2

Seems to be a hardware issue—


You can plug in an external monitor and compare your results, that would be insightful.


External comes directly from the GPU, bypassing the built in display



In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"

Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple


Outside the USA

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
