Volume Automation Trim Disabled?

As of the latest update, I seem to no longer be able to adjust the volume trim downward. It will go up, but no lower than I've manually put the automation line. This seems really strange to me -- is it intentional in the update or is this a bug?

If any of the regions you selected already have an automation point at max high or max(min?) low, there's no room for you to adjust in whichever direction is maxed out, so the function is disabled until you manually adjust the maxed region point (in this case, bring up the points you'd bottomed out) so there's room for what you're asking the Trim to do.
