AirPods Pro 2 NO sound on tv

I can see my AirPods Pro 2 connecting to my Sony Tv but there is no sound

it’s driving me crazy

I even reset my tv and still nothing

The first day when I bought the AirPod pro 2 there was a sound when connecting to my tv for about a minute and nothing ever since! I literally tried everything and it’s not working! I even reset my tv again but still nothing! I did all the resetting also to the AirPods but it doesn’t work!

I think Apple deliberately stop their products working on non Apple devices! Please tell me I am wrong

I’d appreciate any help

I can’t find any help from Apple

Apple does NOT prevent use with other manufacturer's products, but the combinations are not explicitly supported by either manufacturer. In other words, if there is an incompatibility it is nobody's fault.

My suggestion is you check your AirPods by pairing and connecting to another device like your phone to prove they are working. If that is OK please see the notes about connecting third party devices in Set up AirPods with your Mac and other Bluetooth devices - Apple Support (I suspect you already found that). Likewise, if you have any other Bluetooth headphones available, connect to your TV and prove the Bluetooth output is working correctly.
