I can't delete emails on my iPhone

I have not received an e mail doe 3 days and cannot delete any, they pop up again

I can not delete emails. After 17.2.1 !

I’ve deleted all of my email messages and they’re still in my trash. My phone has been running hot since I got it could that be why?

One more thing to try: go to Settings -> Mail -> Accounts. Select the impacted account. If it says, “Re-enter password”, do that, and it should solve the problem.

To delete an email on your iPhone, swipe right or left on a message while viewing your inbox, then tap delete. If there is no delete option, tap More, then scroll down and tap delete. You can also open a message and tap the trash can icon in the bottom left corner of the screen to delete an email.
