Apple ID changed and unable to make it the new Apple ID

I've been using and watching AppleTV+ for over a year. and now I am unable to access anything. I went to settings and noticed that my Apple ID is my old one that I had to abandon because it was an email I can no longer access. Anyway, my apple ID changed to my new email. But my OLD apple ID keeps coming up on the screen.

I follow the prompts to sign-out, and then resign-in which I do. I have completed this three times using my Macbook pro and my apple phone. Each time it refreshed but then my old Apple ID reappeared, and when trying to access shows, I was denied.

I'm sure this has something to do with the two different Apple IDs. Need diagnose and fix please.

Hopefully you changed it this way:

1. Go to https://appleid.apple.com and sign in.

2. In the Sign-In and Security section, choose Apple ID.

3. Enter the email address that you want to use as your Apple ID.

4. Choose Change Apple ID.

5. If you changed your Apple ID to a third-party email address, check your email for a verification code, then enter the code. Learn what to do if you didn't get the email. --> If you didn't receive your verification or reset email - Apple Support

6. If you use services like iCloud or Messages to share with friends and colleagues, sign in to those services with your updated Apple ID. --> What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support

thanks, and not quite. When I changed my apple ID a couple of years ago, Apple tech support did it with and for me. It was rather complicated and took a lot of time.

Since then, I've been using my "new" Apple ID just fine with all of my devices - Apple Watch, IPhone, MacBook Pro and Apple TV. What's new is that all my apple IDs on my devices reflect the new Apple Id but on the App TV app all of a sudden it's got my old Apple ID.

I go in to log out and login new, and after I do that it reverts. Very weird. All other devices Macbook, IPhone, Watch all have new ID and I can watch Apple TV. But I'd like to restore it on my TV Apple App. Maybe I'll try restoring or going backwards.
