Black 'Stage lights' on MacBook Pro 15"

So I have what looks like a common fault on the MacBook Pro from 2016... Apple recognises the fault on the 13" model giving a replacement. I have contacted them and they said its just for the 13" but I explained its happening to mine as well.

The resale value now of this MacBook will plummet, surely if this is a flaw in the product it should be recalled for repair?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.6
