No one makes a browser with contemporary security protocols for Mountain Lion. The Internet has moved on with security and you may find that will impact the browser and email on Mountain Lion.

From Apple () menu : About This Mac panel, what is in the parenthesis on the product description line? That will be a guide as to what version of macOS you can possibly upgrade too.

Post back that string from the parenthesis, and I can advise what last version of macOS that Mac can upgrade too.
