Quit the application. Hold Opt-Cmd as you launch the application. Does the application look complete?

Can you click the Add File button and select a video file? What fails after that.

Start by deleting Compressor preferences. If the problem persists drag the application to the trash and download a fresh copy from the App Store.

That is, assuming you are running Ventura. If you are using a beta, then see Tom’s post above.

Does yours look like Spy_Hardman's?

Trash the app and try redownloading it from the App Store.

Start by trashing the Compressor settings.

Could you give more details of your system and what you’re doing as the application seems to be working correctly.

If you’re on Sonoma you should use Feedback Assistant to report the problem.

Can you confirm that yours looks like Spy_Hardman's? What OS are you using?

Where did you get an error log?

This new version is completely broken for me. It doesn't respond to clicking on any UI elements, it's a bunch of buttons... I don't understand what's happening. Between this and the totally busted Final Cut update, there's something weird going on over at Apple.

Hmm, maybe Sonoma has something to do with it. Forgot I got on the beta branch. :)

And here's how it looks for me, you'll notice it's missing all the widgets and stuff on the top bar.

HELP！I have the same problem, I just upgraded to 4.6.5 without any extra operations, but it completely crashed. When sending files from Final Cut, it takes 1 minute for Compressor to start, doesn't receive any files. The entire interface of Compressor is unresponsive when clicking anywhere.

What exactly are you doing and what happens when you do it? How are you adding the files? Of you’re dragging where to exactly?

I'm having the same issue, I'm not a programmer but skimming though the error log, it seems like it's a code compiler issue. But not sure when are they going to update the app to fix this issue.

May I ask which App Store country everyone downloaded from?
