Using Siri with Sync

Is there any way to disconnect Siri from Ford Sync?

I have a 2014 Ford Escape, which uses Sync for Bluetooth, and while it connects fine and I’m able to use it to play music etc, I get really frustrated using Siri. If I say “hey siri” when connected, the whole system will act like I’m on a phone call with “my number cell”. I’ll tell it whatever song I want, and the song will be 10 seconds in before Sync goes back to Bluetooth audio. Is there any way to prevent that? Sometimes it’ll randomly work properly, and when I use Siri it’ll play from the beginning, but I never know how to replicate it.
