iPhone 13 Pro Won’t Connect To SYNC

I recently bought a 2016 Ford Focus and my iPhone 13 Pro will connect via a USB cable and play music but nothing in regards to SYNC works. I updated the SYNC software to the latest version and have tried doing a master reset of SYNC. When I press on the apps selection on my cars screen it says no apps can be found on my phone even though I have the phone unlocked and on the Home Screen. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions of how I might get the car and my iPhone to work together?

Hi Tom4ster1,

We suggest making following these steps if you're having trouble connecting your iPhone to your car:

Connect using USB playback
1. Restart your device and your car.

2. Make sure that your device is unlocked and on the Home screen.

3. If possible, try to connect using another cable or USB port. Check the manual that came with your car to learn how to connect an Apple device.

4. Check your charging port for any debris or damage. Make sure that your charging cable is properly inserted into the port.

5. Update your device.

6. Make sure that your stereo is using the latest firmware from the car manufacturer. Check your car's manual for more information.
