Solved: CarPlay echo problem

I think I may have solved the CarPlay echo problem - for iPhones at least. When plugged in via usb, the control centre on the phone has a mic mode setting. This needs to be on voice isolation rather than standard. Attached screenshots. I’m on an XR using the latest iOS 16.5.1. Tested with my mum!

Echo on iPhone 14 during phone conversation For the first several minutes of a phone conversation on my iPhone which is running up-to-date IOS, I hear a loud echo of my voice. The other party does not hear any echo. After several minutes, the echo quits although I have done nothing different. How can I prevent this from happening?
