Unlike other computer systems with which you may be familiar, such as Windows PC or Mac computers, iOS/iPadOS does not have a system-wide Trash/Bin - or associated icon that will appear on the Home Screen.
Instead, many Apps have their own Trash/Bin or Recently Deleted folder - that is accessible from within the related App. As an example, within the iPad’s native Files App you will see a Recently Deleted folder within the sidebar. Apple’s own productivity App - Numbers, Pages and Keynote work in exactly the same way.
Due to the sandboxed security architecture employed by iOS/iPadOS, most third-party App will have their own dedicated Trash/Bin/Recently deleted folder - that will be accessed from within the App.
Mail is handled differently. Each mailbox account will have its own Trash/Bin folder associated with the email account - and are accessed from your chosen Mail App(s).
