Mac Desktop - How do you set-up multiple desktop views

Hi - I am having issue setting up multiple desktop views. When I set a new view up it simply just mirrors my main desktop view. I would like to have multiple desktops for different uses. Does anyone know how to solve this?

Occasionally things download on a separate desktop window and I am unable to either move them to the main window I am working in or even switch back to that window. I have not discovered any foolproof ways to navigate between other desktop windows. Frankly, I have no use for other desktop windows...can I turn that feature off entirely? Issue with creating new desktop on secondary monitor when playing full screen video on primary monitor I'm using 2 monitors with my Mac mini. Prior to today, I could watch a video from youtube on full screen on my primary monitor while the secondary monitor was unchanged. After I restarted my computer today, now when I full screen a youtube video on my primary monitor, my secondary monitor goes black and creates an additional desktop in Mission Control. How do I revert back to the old setting?

Spaces screen sharing with other Mac stops working after MacOS update Every time there is a MacOS update, my ability to screen share my MacMini in a Space on my MBP13 stops working. Sometimes I can get it to work, other times not. I have the MacMini screen shared on the desktop of my MBP13, but I can't get it to appear in a different Space. When I click the Mission Control Shortcut, I see the two MBP13 Desktops listed in the Mission Control bar at the top of the screen, and I think I used to just drag the MacMini screen share into the Mission Control Bar and it creates a space and fills that space, but now it just adds a third MPB13 space which includes the MacMini screen. Frankly I only have to go through this process after a software update so though I try to keep good notes, it never seems to work the same.
