While using Apple Maps, my 14Pro seriously over heats. To the point that it rapidly drains the battery. When I attempt to charge it, it shows charging paused until it returns to normal.
Any suggestions?

If charging wirelessly, try charging with a cable while using navigation.

The phone is not placed in an area exposed to the sun. I am using a new apple usbc to lightening cable. I also tried and new apple usb a to lightening cable in different vehicles. I also tried using it without the cable connected. It still heats up. This issue causes it to discharge at a much faster rate. It doesn't just get warm, it gets really hot to the touch. No other apps are running when this happens.
