New Feature - Word Count

Recently did the "latest" update on my MacBook Pro (think it is now Ventura) I'm looking for the word count feature....please direct me to access. Thanks!

Re: Pages. Problem with word count in Pages My paper has a word limit. Problem: Pages counts this abbreviation, Cal.App.4th, as 3 words whereas Microsoft Word counts it as 1 word. I need Pages to count it as 1 word. My Pages version is 13.1 (7037.0.101) (Mac version 13.4.1)

Does "Show Word Count" in Pages' View menu not work?
