Need delay after call termination

iOS should have a delay after a call is terminated by the other party (or dropped) before it allows screen input. I just had a situation where I tried to hit the red hang-up icon to end a call and my friend disconnected first, causing the screen to display my recent call list in that very moment I was tapping. Because of this, I hit what was in the same spot on the screen as that button and it happened to be a job I applied for so now it looks like I'm bothering them for no reason! I quickly ended the call but they probably know I called.

There should be at least a 1/2 to 1 second delay for screen input if I'm not the one ending the call. Is there already an option for this? If not, I hope Apple implements it in the next release.

Thanks

Ending a call with proper etiquette and courtesy is essential to maintain good communication and leave a positive impression. Here are some guidelines on how to conclude a call gracefully:

Practicing good etiquette applies to both parties engaged in a conversation.

  1. Express Gratitude: Before ending the call, express appreciation for the conversation. A simple "Thank you for speaking with me" or "I appreciate your time" shows respect and acknowledges the value of the conversation.
  2. Signal the End: When the conversation is coming to a close, signal that the call is about to end. You can do this by saying something like "Before we finish..." or "Just one more thing..."
  3. Say Goodbye: End the call with a courteous and friendly farewell. You can say phrases like "Goodbye," "Take care," or "Have a great day." If the call was more formal, use appropriate closing phrases such as "Sincerely" or "Best regards."
  4. Hang up Gently: When ending the call, hang up gently, and avoid abruptly disconnecting. This shows consideration and respect for the other person's time.

Remember that effective communication is essential in all interactions, including phone calls. By demonstrating proper etiquette and courtesy, you build positive relationships and leave a lasting impression of professionalism and respect.

Feedback - iPhone - Apple

I don't understand your reply at all. I did fine on my phone interview with the company and I ended the call very professionally and gracefully. What does that have to do with the iPhone screen quickly dismissing the call screen (on a future call with a friend) and going to whatever screen you were on before (in an instant). There needs to be some tiny delay.
