My iphone has no internet and i need to reset and clear data on it

Hello. My iphone is broken. Literally lost its ability to use Bluetooth or Wifi. Hardware malfuntion. Ive purchased a new phone and I want to erase all data on this phone before I give it to my carrier. It will not let me reset it until I turn off the Find My feature on my phone. But I cannot do that unless I can get online. Seeing I have no Wifi to turn it off...... is there any way I can reset my phone to Factory Defaults or clear all data on it with no Wifi? I tried to restore the Iphone from my MacBook but it said the same thing. You need to turn off Find My to restore it. Pretty frustrating. Thoughts?

Thank you for the quick reply. But it did not work. The inability of my phone ( now disabled because I have a new phone ) to get on Wifi or Cellular is the issue. It wont let me turn off Find My without verification. Anyway to do it without being connected. Should I bring to an Apple Store Genius? Not sure if they could help... but they are pretty **** good with this stuff.

You are very far from the first person with a busted iPhone.

You can release Find My remotely.

Turning off Find My remotely does not require the iPhone to have communications.

See the section If you no longer have your iPhone or iPad here:

Now the ”without verification” is more concerning. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, and do not have a recovery email set, or a recovery telephone number set, or one or more recovery contacts established, then you will need to perform account recovery to regain access to your Apple ID:

If you do have a recovery email, recovery telephone number, and/or recovery contacts set on your Apple ID, then try using the ”didn’t get a verification code” button to get a verification code using—for instance—your same telephone number on your new iPhone. Successfully Handing Over an iPhone:

Perform as Instructed here: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Troubleshooting iPhone WiFi not Working:

Try The Following the the Order Provided:

I. Start Here: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t Connect to a Wi-Fi Network - Apple Support

II. What Else to Try:

A. Restarting the iPhone:

If any changes were made (i.e. Installed Apps), then Settings (i.e Wf-Fi), may have become manipulated technically. So, try restarting the iPhone:

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Shut Down
  4. Slide: Your Finger to the Right

B. Disable Cellular:

Try disabling Cellular, and using Wi-Fi instead, seeing if that makes all the difference. Cellular always overrules Wi-Fi.

C. Try manually restarting your iPhone:

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Select: General
  3. Scroll to: the Very Bottom
  4. Select: Shut Down
  5. Slide Finger: to the Right
  6. Wait: 30 Seconds
  7. Power One: the iPhone
  8. Try this Once More
