Where are my pdf files?

PDFs in iBooks on iPad lost - how to retrieve? Hi, I have always backed up my iPad to my Mac. Recently when I changed iPads I lost all the pdfs in iBooks. They were not purchased 'books' but collections of important info I thought were saved safely. Not changed Apple ID or anything else. Is there a way I can restore the contents of iBooks from a past backup without screwing up the rest of my iPad settings or access these documents directly on my Mac from the backup? Help appreciated.

I cannot find Air-dropped PDF files on iPhone after I receive them. I have Air-Dropped numerous PDF files from my MacBook Pro to my iPhone, but afterward, the files are nowhere to be found in the iPhone 11 Pro Max Files app. They are air-dropped into a "Downloads" folder, but then I cannot find anything in the iPhone's "Downloads" folder in the Files app. Does anyone have an idea as to what the solution is? Does it have anything to do with not having iCloud space? I find Apple's processes unnecessarily complicated and irritating, for someone coming from Android, so I will feel grateful for any assistance.

PDF suddenly disappeared I've been working on 3 PDF files in my iPad Pro 5th Gen for the past few weeks. I worked on one of them this morning as well. I tried to open it again in the evening and those three PDFs were missing from my "On my iPad" folder. I checked the iCloud Drive folder and recently deleted as well. I could see those three files in the "Recents" folder but they didn't open and even if I tried to move them it said "File does not exist". I Google searched and restarted my iPad, updated it and even hard restarted it. But then, my files disappeared from the "Recents" folder as well. These files are really important to me as I have exams coming up super soon. Please help ASAP

Depending on what apps you have your pdf documents could be in several different apps. Look in the Files app first and see if they are in there. If you have pdf apps, look in those as well. Some may be in emails if you received them via email.
