Printers Keep Showing "Offline"

My HP laser printer and my Brother label maker both keep going "offline." They are connected to the network and had been working fine previously, but now after a while of not using them, they will not work. I have to turn the printer off and on again to get them to work.

Troubleshooting steps so far...

1) I am running on the latest software on my Mac

2) I checked to make sure the drivers are updated on both printers

3) I have restarted and turned the devices on and off

I have really good Internet connectivity in my house, so I'm not sure why they keep going offline.

Help!

I find it beneficial to assign static IP addresses to printers and other network equipment that does not get routinely transported. That way, they always reside at the same address and your Mac doesn't have to go looking for them if your router decides it's time to distribute new IP addresses using DHCP. That typically occurs when those devices have not been used for a while.

Research their individual product documentation to learn how to do that. Look for that specific term: static IP address.
