Help! Videos and Audio on Mac playing super fast, automatically fast forwarding to the end

I noticed the problem first on YouTube, but it happens everywhere that videos and audio are played. Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, streaming on Safari, streaming on Firefox, Apple TV+, and on QuickTime Player. What happens is the video instantly fast forwards, all the way to the end before I can even press pause.

When playing Music on Spotify, it plays at "only" around 10 times speed and with no sound coming out.

I've tried everything I've found online - killing the CoreAudio as recommended here https://9to5mac.com/2019/07/29/macos-fast-video-playback-bug-fix-coreaudiod-video/

Booting in safe mode, disabling any web extensions. Nothing seems to work.

So basically, videos and audio on my Macbook no longer work. Reboots help, but only for about 30 minutes. I'm at a loss for what to do. Has anybody had this happen to them? Does anyone have any idea what might work?

I'm on a 2019 MacBook Pro

To anyone else who has this problem; I fixed the issue by resetting the NVRAM

Running on a 2019 16" MacBook Pro with

Processor: 2.6 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 processor

Graphics Card: Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MBIntel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

Version: Ventura 13.5

I can't think of what changed. It seemed to be random to me, but maybe there as an update or something. I didn't make any changes to the laptop besides possibly updating

Tried a factory reset and it didn't work. I'll try reinstalling MacOS and report back
