Files App: Couldn't Communicate with a helper application

I have iPad 2018… and was trying to combine/move files/documents/photos from iPad to iCloud/OneDrive etc. to free up space on iPad. When I went back to start moving the chosen files/documents/photos, etc. from the iPad files folder to a OneDrive folder, I receive the error message that it couldn’t communicate with helper application.

I have already cleaned/deleted apps, (hesitantly for the fear of this happening) but……other apps I only off-loaded…

I went from a 8.5x11” planner for appts for years to a Digital planner and as it was getting harder to bring files/pics/folders etc over to my iPad…so i started filling my memory way to fast…..
