iPhone 7 is incapable of being updated to iOS 17 at all. It doesn't have the hardware required. If you need iOS 17 for apps, which require iOS 17, then you'll have to retire you out of date iPhone and buy one which is newer and capable of running iOS 17. That means at a minimum iPhone SE 2, iPhone XS or newer.

• If you have an iPhone 5S or 6/6plus, the highest you can update to is 12.5.7

• If you have an iPhone 6S through 7, or SE 1st generation, you can update to 15.8.3

• If you have an iPhone 8 or X, you can update to 16.7.10

• If you have an iPhone SE (2nd generation or later), or XR through 15, you can update to 17.7 or 18.0.1

You might want iOS 17 on "series 7" phones – the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

That will not get you iOS 17.

Those phones are incompatible with iOS 16 and later. For them, iOS 15 is the end of the line.

An iPhone 7 Plus cannot be updated past iOS 15. If you need a newer iOS version, you will need a newer iPhone.

The iPhone 7 Plus, a phone that originally ran iOS 10, cannot update to iOS 16, 17, or 18. Begging will not change this answer.

An iPhone 7 can't be updated beyond 15.8.3, it doesn't have the hardware required to run anything higher.

If you need a higher iOS version, you will have to purchase a newer phone.

That is NOT possible. iOS 15 is the end of the line for iPhone 7.

It will be released sometime between September and December.

If other folks have it, they would be developers, beta testers, or obtained it from some hack site.
