Macbook air M1 External Monitor USB C Microphone

I have connected my external monitor (PHL 34B15601) to my Macbook air via USB C.

I have everything connected to my external monitor, and everything works. (Macbook air M1 Ventura)

However, when I connect my headset to my external monitor (audio 3.5mm) It does not recognize its microphone. I can hear through it but not speak.

I have gone to Settings>Sound>Input but it still does not recognize it.

I hope someone has a solution for this issue.
