I found an Iphone on a mountain trail. It does not have an emergency contact or medical information. It is locked and has sos in the top left corner. How do i go about unloicking and factory resetting this phone so that it can be used?
If this hiking trail is in some state or national park that has a manned park ranger station, you could drop off the phone in the lost and found department there.
Whoever owns the phone might come looking for it, and get his or her phone back.

It won't be possible for you to unlock the phone unless / until the phone's owner releases the lock on the phone.
Turn the phone over to the police.
Thank you, I would love to turn into the place, but they won’t even come out for a car theft. Everything is done online now.
Drop the phone off at the local police station. If you can't do that it, recycle it.
