Wallet does not sync across iPhone and iPad

Should it sync across those types of devices in the first place? It would be really neat if it did. I'm logged into iCloud on both devices, using the same Apple ID. Wallet sync is enabled in the iCloud settings on both devices. iPhone runs iOS 16.5.1 and iPad iPadOS 16.5.1.

Isn’t this just essentially manually entering the cards though? My phone, watch and macbook synch up but not my Ipad. I could go in and manually do it but then that has to continue. Shouldn’t it do this on it’s own?

I've got this to work, sharing the info with the community. On the iPad I signed out and back into iCloud using my Apple Id - I'm not certain that this step is necessary though. Still on the iPad in Settings:

  • I made sure Wallet sync is enabled in the iCloud settings.
  • Wallet & Apple Pay
    • Payment Cards -> Add Card -> Add Previous Cards (or something similar). I had to enter the Security Code for a couple of cards, but not for all.
    • Payment Cards -> Removing Cards. Card removal propagated sporadically across iPhone and iPad.
    • Apple Cash - I had to enable it and after a bit of "thinking" it sync-ed up the data as well with what's on the iPhone.
