I updated to IOS 15.7.8 and my messages deleted
After I updated my Iphone 7 to the IOS 15.7.8 now all of my text messages are gone

Hi! Recovering deleted text messages is a feature only available on iOS 16, which means you're unable to recover yours. You can check, however, if you have a recent backup that has your messages:
- Open Settings
- Tap [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Backup > [device name]
If the backup was from before your messages were deleted, you may be able to recover them by restoring your iPhone from that backup: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup - Apple Support
