Someone tried to reset a computer from work, but now when we turn it on it says "The version of macOS on the selected disk needs to be reinstalled."
Not knowing exactly how the " Other Person " did to Reset the computer.
I can only show the proper way to Rest an Apple Silicon computer
You will need to inquire from the person who trued to Reset the computer exactly what they did do.
Use Disk Utility to erase a Mac with Apple silicon - Apple Support (CA)
Erasing Apple Silicon Computer is far more complicated then back in the days of Apple Intel machines .
It would appear that you require the information in the next link on Reviving an Apple Silicon Machine
Revive or restore a Mac with Apple silicon using Apple Configurator - Apple Support (CA)
The problem shows up when I try to reinstall macOS. For some reason, the StartUp disk doesn't show up as an option to reinstall macOS on. I tried going to the utility disk, and the first aid feature works fine but nothing changes. Restoring is giving an error. Any ideas what can I do? Thxs
